Sweetwood is dedicated to fostering lifelong learning and meaningful connection. Through partnerships with local educational and cultural organizations, our multigenerational programming provides residents with opportunities to engage with the local community and keep learning in retirement.
Sweetwood partners with Williams College, providing opportunities for residents to audit classes or attend special class sessions at the invitation of faculty. We also develop joint programming for students and residents through Williams’ Center for Learning in Action and Mount Greylock Regional High School.
We collaborate with local schools and organizations to facilitate joint readings, seasonal celebrations, and interactive projects. Associations with community coalitions, cultural institutions, and the Williamstown Chamber of Commerce offer enriching experiences, from lectures to outings.
Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Berkshire Community College provides access to engaging lectures and Shared Interest Groups. Residents can also enjoy the enriching Williams College Lecture Series – in-person and virtually – featuring diverse presentations and cultural performances to continue learning in retirement.
Our campus is home to two wooded trails thoughtfully marked by students at Mount Greylock Regional School. Springs Pool provides a lap pool, water aerobics, and classes, fostering connections among various age groups.
