Meet The Staff

Charlene Wisdom-Brown

Executive Director

Charlene brings over 16 years of experience in healthcare/retirement living to the Sweetwood family. Starting as an admissions coordinator in Texas serves as Charlene’s introduction to this ever changing industry. After many years of marketing in Texas a promotion and transfer to Washington State, assisting in branding and marketing a high end Memory Care Community, was offered.  Developing company culture and creating community growth opportunities were a few of her responsibilities.

While in Washington Charlene was able to connect with her awesome step-daughters Lauren and Julia. Many weekend trips to snowy mountains and Seattle shorelines with husband, Christopher, and girls created wonderful memories.

After five years in Washington a transfer and career opportunity in the Berkshires was presented. Prior to joining the Sweetwood team, Charlene served as the General Manager at local retirement community, Devonshire Estates.

Charlene looks forward to settling into her new role as Executive Director of Sweetwood and exploring the Berkshires with Christopher the Girls and their four-legged child, Beauty. In her free time she enjoys shopping, antiquing, hiking and once in a great while kicking the soccer ball around.

Amanda Plaine

She holds a degree in Social Work from Florida Gulf Coast University. She is overjoyed to be able to share her love of the Berkshires and all that Sweetwood has to offer to the community.
